Jochen Streb

Jochen Streb is the Professor of Economic History at the University of Mannheim.
His research focuses on historical patent activities in Germany since 1877. He is an
expert on the economic history of the Third Reich and the emergence of social
security systems. Since 2015, he has coordinated the Priority Program “Experience
and Expectation” of the German Science Foundation. In 2018, he and Sibylle
Lehmann-Hasemeyer received the Schmölders Foundation Award for their research
on the role of the Berlin Stock Exchange in the financing of innovation.
