Jeroen Touwen
University of Leiden, the NetherlandsJeroen Touwen is Associate Professor of Economic and Social History at Leiden University. He is interested in the economic history of the Netherlands in an international comparative perspective, focusing on sustainability, labor relations and welfare state development. He also published on the economic history of colonial Indonesia. His books include: Coordination in Transition. The Netherlands and the World Economy, 1950–2010 (Leiden 2014) and Extremes in the Archipelago. Trade and Economic Development in the Outer Islands of Indonesia, 1900–1942 (Leiden 2001).
